Default Trading up

I'm about to trade my Triumph for a Soft Tail Standard 09'. Can someone suggest an exhaust system that will give me 'Street presence', I know Harley's have got a nice note straight out of the factory, but I want something a little louder. Thanks guys

Probably too many to choose from. What I like in a pipe is different from what my son wants. Some look really cool, others perform really well and others sound great. Go to your local dealer on a weekend that they're having an event or ride and check out the bikes that show up. Then when you find what you like go push the guy off his bike and steal his pipes.

Decide what look you are trying to do and go from there....

Are you the short 2-2 drag pipe kinda guy?

Maybe you are a smarty pants 2-1 pro-streeter?

Or a classic long 2-2?

Tough guy black?

Classic chrome?

Twisted and modern?

Old school simple?

The choices are mind boggling at best.

Any aftermarket pipe will sound better than a stocker...Decide what look you like and proceed accordingly.

Ive got a standard and love it, couldnt see myself on any other bike. However, they didnt make a 2009 standard. do you mean custom? I have a set of Hooker 2-2 that turn down and point straight at the pavement. . . . loud as HELL. I like em a lot, but sometimes I get off the bike and for real have a little dead sensation in my right ear for 20 minutes or so due to those tips being right in line with my ears. If I were to go back with another set of pipes, which Im sure I will do sooner or later, I think I would get a set of Long shots or a nice 2-1 system for the stellar performance aspect. Either way, listen to other guys bikes, ask what they have and go from there, good luck man

Just look through some of the picture threads on here. There are so many killer systems out there your mind will spin.

trading a triumph for a softail isn't really a trade up lol
for exhaust, I 'd go by the look then sound, I don't care how it sounds, if it doesn't look good on my bike, I won't take it. I am a big fan of Vance & Vines, great pipes, nice chrome and reasonable price. FYI those rush slip-ons sound amazing, I have heard a few, really like them.

Ha!! 128Auto has been moody lately as putting his baby in storage for 5 months is eating away at his very core..LOL.

We will be getting some snow here as well Auto. I decided that it would be a Skidoo year and went and found a steal on a leftover 09' Summit 154" 800R.

To the OP...How much is 27 grand Aussie in our money?

Fvck. That just sounds insane!!

What time is it over there anyway? Get some sleep Mang!
