Ok, looks like Im going to be getting a set of bars sooner than I had thought. Im getting some Burly 1" narrow apes - 14" rise. My current risers are HUGE, like 4.5s I think, and a few guys had said something about using stock heritage risers as a cheap set. i think Chaz has some, now question, what years am I lookin for?? I found a few sets online, but I dont wanna get the wrong pair and be pissed when I get out there ready to mount em up. Anyone have any input?? I have an 07 Standard. Thanks
hmmm, got any pics??? How much were they? Im a cheap ***, SO . . . Im lookin for cheap as possible, AND trying to avoid getting new cables. I have like 4.5s on 10" mini apes right now, so I figure with 1s or so and 14s Ill be around the same height . . . . right???
I got these off ebay for $30 plus shipping. I think they're the stock heritage risers/top clamp (1.5") and they should most likely work with your bike as well. Sorry, can't help with the years...
Cool, thanks for the input. Ill hit up ebay and try to find some options. The bars should be here in a week or so. I guess Ill need some new bushings as well. Not really looking forward to running these wires internally . . . and may as well re-locate the turn signals while Im at it.
also - I found some risers on ebay, what im coming up with all look like 2" risers for 1" bars, should work. Now, some have the threads like the stock arrangement, and some are just through holes that say buy new hardware. When running a taller ape, with more leverage, would yall say that it would be better to let the threads take the load? or capture it with a nut on the bottom in 4 spots? Im on the fence with this one. I see the threads being a little easier to deal with, but threads have one draw back, in that they can strip if too much "love" is applied. What are yall's thoughts on that???

I agree, I found a set that looks pretty good, comes with a new top clamp too. Im just always paranoid about stripping out threads, especially connected to the bars. I think these are about an inch and a half tall. They would look good with the new black theme too.

Those look almost identical to the chrome wild1 chubby risers and clamp I put on my bars. Good find
