Default Hand Control ?

I put on some chrome switch covers on with the chrome master cylinder and new grips (that was FUN[sm=bangbang.gif]) but now I seem to have a little slack on the return cable for the throtle and a little play in my clutch cable. How do I adjust this out or did I do somthing wrong I didn't have any left over parts this time[sm=smiley20.gif] Oh and I seem to of ripped the boot on the switch for the brake light can I just replace the switch or do I have to replace everything. I wish I found this site sooner I saw the step by step instruction in another part of the forum. Oh well its all part of the fun of doing it you're self right [sm=boohoo.gif]

Don't have any play in my clutch cable but I do have some slack in my return cable as well since I changed out my hand grips. Not sure what caused it either.

The throtle is adjusted ridgt under the switch housing. Where the cables attach there should be an adjustment (usualy under the rubber covers), just loosen the jam nut adjust out the slack and tighten the jam nut up. The clutch adjuster is about half way down the cable under a rubber boot. Again, loosen the jam nut adjust the cable until yiu have about 1/16 to 1/8 inch play in the lever, then tighten jam nut. And your brake light switch, you can replace just the switch (about $30 at the dealership) but I ran mine with a torn rubber on it until the switch went bad. I didn't want to replace it until I had to. Hope this helps.
