Default Excessive blowby ?

The last couple of times after I went for a long ride I would notice oil on the cam cover, then this weekend while I had it running to warm it up { it's parked for the winter] I noticed what i thought was a lot of blowby out from the breather tube behind the air cleaner.
Working on a 2000 Heritage twin cam 88 carb. 50,000 mi
I am going to check the cam tensioners this winter or should i just replace with the upgrade to hydraulic?
I'm going to check the compression what should it be approx.150 psi.

I bought it early this year for a good price and road it pretty hard. I will do the work myself as i find wrenching makes the ridding more enjoyable

Enjoy reading all the post's and find them very informative. any suggestions would be great thank's Kevin
