Default Cutting Deuce license bracket?

Going to a side mount plate. For the guys that have done it, how did you do it? I would take the rear bracket completely out but I'm worried about the tail light harness rubbing on the tire. Any ideas?

I did it when I had the stock fender. If I remember right I traced the plate with a white marker and then used a hacksaw to cut the plastic. When you trace the plate move the plate to the right and then cut it. If you don't the plate will look off-center.

Place the plate frame on the plastic part and cut it off after you trace it. I put the frame as far up on the plastic as I could.

I've got the chrome 1 piece bracket. This thing is huge! Or was, I cut it last night. That's some thick stuff as I went through 2 cut off wheels.

One of the first things I did when I got my '05. I used a jigsaw. Small, almost unnoticeable improvement...what you do benefit from is NOT noticing the mount as much.

This thing could not be cut with a jigsaw. I went through 2 cut off wheels with it using air. This was not the stock plastic mount. Got everything on and it looks pretty damn sexy! Anybody wanna buy a Lava Red Sunglo paint set?
