Well my night train goes in for the first 1000 mile service this week, and to get the fuel gage fixed. What should I expect when I get it back, as far as performance goes.
Expect a fluid change an adjusted clutch and your wallet 300 bucks lighter - and if you are lucky they will fix the fuel gauge - Worth it for the warranty but do yourself a favor and listen to these guys up here - Most of this stuff you can do yourself and it you get in a jam they are right here to help - Buy that service manual and post some pix!
my bike ran a bit tighter after it's 1,000 mile service, but performance wise I didn't notice much. The clutch was tight, they replaced an O ring that got mashed in my rear brake during assembly. It was a pretty straight forward thing, cost me about 250 bucks.
Thanks Kess, I plan on doing the regular maintenance on the bike , but being the first 1000 miles I opted to bring it back to the shop. And I will get some pics posted.
