Default wheel questions

I have a chance to buy a set of wheels from a friend at a good price. the problem is his bike is a '97 fatboy, mine is a 2000 model. how much would it cost to adapt these to my bike ? I am thinking it is just a matter of swaping out the bearings and the axle, right?..... need some guidence here please, I need to give him an answer

You might need new wheel hubs. Call the manufacturer of the wheels.

The hub style changed in 2000. They will not fit. The hub patterns for both the sprocket and disc brake are different. It would be much more work than it would be worth. You have have to replace the sprocket and disc brakes.

What Rick says here....The Evo bikes have different brake rotors, different axle size, hassle.
