Default 3" Arlen Ness Control Extensions

new member - first post. This subject may well have been talked to death in this forum. If that's the case I apologize, bein' new to this 'n all. I'm looking for a quality kit to extend the fwd controls on my 07 FXST softail. I'm 6'2" 190lbs and find that my legs are at an awkward 90 deg angle when riding. The Ness kit seems reasonably priced ($158 ebay)but I can't find any images of it installed. I have custom pegs but the current set up is stock black which should go well with the anodized black Ness kit. Also, would a semi-mechanical lunkhead like myself dare to install on his own? Anyone have any advice at all on this subject? I sure do appreciate any insight you might be willing to share....

6' 3" and had the Ness extension for 3 years now.
One of the best accessories I have! they allow me to stretch my legs on longer rides and not feel cramped at all.
Fitting - pretty simple as long as you're happy to mess around with the rear brake....

Not the best picture to show but should give you an idea!

Had mine for about 2 years now. I love it and would never go back.

Easy install, just take your time with the rear brake line.
Helps to have a extra set of hands for bleeding the new line.

I have the same kit on my bike. Install the kit yourself. Its not a difficult project. Took me about 1 1/2 hours to do the job, I'm 6'2" and I could use even more of an extension.

I got em and love em! Go ahead and do it yourself not hard at all.

I agree with chaz, learn your bike inside and out. It'll help you out in the long run, and save you from the $60 an hour labor charges.

Definitely worth it, and an easy install. Get a Speedbleeder for the rear caliper and you can bleed the brake yourself.
