just got the picture thing figured out i think. 2" in the rear with Progressive 413 shocks about 1/4 of the adjuster left. I used the Progressive springs in the tubes set on the 1" setting. Ride is firm but not too stiff. I do alot of 2 up riding and have had no issues since centering the fender. Why H-D offsets the rear fender is beyond me. Other changes I've made are the Carlini bars,R-B Racing
C-style 2-1 exhaust,stage1 air and a SERT. Metzler 90/90 on the front. The seat is a Corbin Gunfighter and a lot of various chrome nuts and bolts in the right places to set things off. 14,000 miles in 14months without a hitch. Can't ride the thing enough.
Tread , thought it was gonna too hard when I first got it. After 1200 miles or so it just kinda relaxed and form fitted my butt. Get alot of 300+ mile days on it without my *** falling off. Firm but soft is how many described it to me when I asked how Corbin seats rode and I guess I would have to say the same thing. Wife doesn't complain anymore so I think she likes it too. I like the removeable backrest part as i don't care for the look of sissy bars or the effort it takes to get my old *** leg over them.
Thanks for the info on the seat. Several of us from work take a 500-600 mile trip every month. Last month we went right at 600 miles round trip in a day. Needless to say I am in the market for a real good seat and from the way it sounds the corbin is the one for me.
should have included that jimb. Still don't know why H-D doesn't do it. Now that the fender has clearance it looks fine as far as visual goes. You don't notice it at all.
