Who's got some feedback on some basic crash bars? Kyriakan's are to flashy Lindbys are look a little wide. I'm thinking of getting the classic heritage round guards and having them poweder coated. Any other advise?
I ride a Deluxe, and the footboards touch first, then the engine guard. Mine is the rergular HD chrome one, not the rounded Nostalgic.
Your crash bars scrub while taken corners? F*k that!!!!!
Well you just gave me another reason NOT to install bars on my bike. When i first bought my bike i used to scrub my boards all the time. Now if i had a crash bar i have to watch out for that too.....

Yea, it doesn't touch that often. With practice, I've learned where that point is and avoid it.
Footboards fold up, so no big deal. Engine guard, in addition to being fairly close to the front wheel, is hard mounted to the frame, which means it could lever weight off the front tire in a hard corner: Not good!
This is why I'm not sure if I want to lower my bike. Love the look, but it'd be a serious compromise in handling, I'm afraid.
