Hey all, I'm looking for a set of Hooker long cuts for my '09. Does anyone have these on their bike? I'd love to hear some input on them, and also if anyone knows where you can get them. I've been watching ebay and checking a few sites, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Just figured they might be a good pipe and a little different from the usual V/H BSS.
thanks all.
p.s. in case anyone was wondering, I'll have some pics of my ride up this spring. I lost everything when my camera f**ked up, and she's in storage for the winter.
I've heard about 50/50 on Hooker feedback. I was looking to do the same thing for the same reasons. I would go with Cobra or Rush. Here are some links. Read up on them and see what you think. I changed gears and went with Samson true dual longtails. For drag pipes I'd go with either of the two below. Tell us what you decided.
i just bought a set for my WG off of ebay for 120 delivered. holly-performance. they have/had a lot of softail sets for the same price but that was a month ago and i dont think they went past year 2006. anyway i love the look and sound of mine but after getting my bike dyno'd a couple of weeks ago i have developed an annoying rattle when i let off the throttle in one of the pipes. im going to remove them and see if i can figure it out when the garage warms up a bit. (i loved my hookers until this rattle, lol. ANYWAY i have always been a fan of hooker products, but for 100 bux this deal was to good to pass up. good luck whatever way you decide to go.
Good luck in your search. Hooker stopped making motorcycle exhaust's almost a year ago. Anything you find is what's left over.
I run the Hooker Troublemakers on my Night Train with the quiet baffles and really like the sound and performance. The quiet baffles really made a difference in the low end torque.
i ran a set of hooker rebels and they were a pain to get to sound right. i went ot the rebel shorts baffle in the rebel mid and got the right amount of tq. i lost one baffle and now have to run the stock loud ones. the chrome is cheap. the pipes are ceramic and good. yes the crapy hose claps come loose and they rattle. I put high heat paint under the passenger foot peg because the chrome is so thin the cleaner took off the shine. i was quoted under 400 to get a show room chrome job done to them. i gave 200 new so for another 400 they will look sharp. i think i would rather sell them as is cheap. they have no crossover like V&H so no tq but tons of high rpm power. about 16 more than stock. PM me if interested

Where did you get the quiet baffles? I was looking at getting QQ BCT baffles.
I bought a set of hooker troublemakers a couple years ago for my 06 1200, sounded awesome but had a rattle at first as well. One of the bolts that held the baffles in on the rear pipe never would tighten up, and it rattled a lot.
A forum member here suggested it was the baffle, I pulled it and gave it a mild hit with a metal hammer as was suggestd, just to make a mild bend, got the baffle back in, tighter, and the rattle never happened again. I loved those pipes and even found that bike 2 weeks ago for sale again at the dealership where I traded it back in 08, the hookers were still on it.
Try checking your baffles for fitment maybe? Im sorry to hear hooker doesnt make pipes anymore, I enjoyed those things.
