Default Just a question

This may sound a little silly but... When I service my bike I adjust the primary tensioner and add fluid (28 oz. in my case) through the service cover. How come when the dealer does the service he charges me for a derby cover gasket. Is he adding to the edge of the clutch assembly or is he just putting in the measured amount of fluid and charging me for the additional gasket?

Unless I misunderstand your question, I think he's replacing the old gasket with a new one (or should be if he's charging you for it)

+ 1 on what Keithhu said

I think they should be changing any gasket of a part that they remove and put back on
some sort of precaution thing

they probably charge for derby cover gasket because they removed derby cover to adjust clutch
