2003 hd custom paint
just bought a 03 fatboy with custom harley paint job. dealer said only 200 like it but i cant find any numbers anywhere that says what number it is. shouldnt it be right on the tank?

Yes, if it is one of their exotic sets there will be a small bar/shield on the tank with the number. If there isn't, it may be one of their other series. Post up a pic and we might be able to tell ya more.

i dug out an old 2003 h.d. cataloge. looks like the SOARING EAGLE paint set. however...i only see it coming in burgundy/black (efi) , and black/orange (carb). says there should be a small 100th anniversary logo in the corner. avail oct. 2002. steve

that must be what it is. there is a small 100th emblem on it. I got the records from the original dealer and the bike came black. the paint job by Harley was an additional 1500approx.
they should be able to tell you exactly!!!
