Need some help from those with side mounted license plates.
I'm looking for (but can't seem to find) a cheap curved axle mounted bracket w/a tag light. The only one i found is from Kuryakyn, and its over $100. (overpriced IMO) I want to chop that ugly stock plate bracket on the Deuce, and retain the stock brake light. Everything I'm finding is either a stand alone bracket, or bracket with a brake light.
Do i have any other options other than Kuryakyn?? Pics/links would be much appreciated!
I got one from LM cycles on ebay and they have a website but they are actually cheaper by cpl bucks on ebay still only $50 bucks and has held up great. Offer it in black or chrome and has an led strip for the plate light not sure if its what your looking for. http://www.lmcycles.com/shop/catalog...V8&shop_param=
note mine was not curved and don't think they offer curved at the site i listed but on how to run the wiring i tucked it behind the swing arm put a 3m wire sticky tab back there and wire tied it cant even see it and then up into the battery fuse area and tapped into the connector for the rear brake lights and hooked the wiring to the wire that runs the license plate lite by popping the connector apart and soldering my wire to the existing wire that goes to the back of the bike worked like a charm.
Here is a link to the one I made from stuff laying around the shop. It was a breeze to make, looks good (IMHO), and didn't cost a dime. (frame was $6 at autozone, skull bolts were $19 at the stealer). You could use those same LED bolts or just make the bracket a little bigger in the direction you would like the light, and get the LED or standard lights from o'reilly, autozone, napa, J&P, etc.
