well i have an 09 rocker c i bought some short pipes with no baffles or o2 bungs, i also have a screamin eagle heavy breather and stage 1 remap. ok heres the deal i put the pipes on and couldnt wait for the o2 eleminators. i started it and decided to ride it. it runs great sounds great. hella of alot faster. the check engine light has not come on, the o2 sensors are still plugged in just not in the pipes. any ideas on if i should get a tuner or just use the eliminators and run it like it is? it popped and back fired with the slipons. its not doing that now.
dude those pipes gotta be L O U D
i would have to say you should try and create some type of back pressure
you are runnin straight drags ive never heard of anyone runnin no
o2 sensors yet on newer hd motors that have o2 sensors
im interested to see what other will say
good luck mon
They are maybe a little bit to loud. But it runs great. This weekend I'm going to modify the rear pipe a little so it's not so close to the oil bag and put some header wrap on them.
wow - well. . . . . your bike being efi is currently looking for some feedback from the 02 sensors. you just have them sitting aside?? did you unplug that actual sensor part and now just have open plugs? When I got my troublemakers, they sent me 06 pipes. I had to cut and weld in 02 bungs to make the sensors work, fine, then I added an arlen ness big sucker stage 2 and got a power commander. Ended up buying 02 bung plugs anyways and putting on 02 eliminators. IMO, dont run that thing until you get a tuner. You can find a pc3 for a pretty decent price, it'll come with 02 eliminators that will take care of that open connector. The dealer stage 1 flash for what you have is pretty worthless. I would agree that some back pressure may help too. damn, bet those things are loud as hell !
The wires are still hooked up but the sensors are sitting to the side. I was going to weld some o2 bungs on and get a pc III but it fuel wise it seams to be where it should. Throttle response is crisp. I hand to really hang on last night.
dude, if you are getting a PC, DO NOT weld in 02 bungs. The PC eliminates the 02 sensors, so you would be in my shoes a month ago. I welded in bungs, then had to buy plugs to go in the pipes because the 02 sensors are of no use after you throw on a PC
I didn't know the pc has o2 eliminators I thought it just used wideband o2 sensor. Well that will make it easier now I just need to figure out where to put it
