Just wondering why nobody seems to add the fringed lever covers anymore? I like the classic look of them, don't they don't seem to be used as much as they once were.
I've got them on my bike as I like the look. I guess it takes me back to my days as a kid when I put it on my chopper bicycle. At least now I don't have to put playing cards on the spokes to make noise.
I have them on my 06 Deluxe and they are of the 10 inch variety. No problems with mine hitting my hands. I know where you can get them, but can't remember the brand. I paid like $23 and they are excellent quality. Call Latus Harley in Portland, OR they can help you as they have many in stock in 10, 12 and I think even 18 inchers.
I've got a set of 10 inchers on my levers, I like the looks, takes me back many years. As far as utility is concerned, they are useless, but then so it most chrome...
I've been thinking about red/black lever covers. www.ironbraid.com can make them anyway you want.
IronBraid makes a great product. I have white & black lever covers (without the fringe). Red & Black will look great on your bike! I also got the white & black grips from coolsac.com that match up well with the lever covers.
