Finished a few things. First is sanded and polished lowers. They turned out really nice and match up better with the wheels and rotors. A good and inexpensive mod - just some sandpaper and several hours of elbow grease. (Thanks to Auto128 for sharing this one)
Second is making the passenger pillion removable without having to remove the solo seat. I switch often from 1 and 2up. A clever simple mod that will make life a little easier. (Read about this awhile back. Cant remember the guys name)
Third is finished installing some PM Wheels. Found them on CL and they came with a Metz 140 front. Put a 160 Dunlop Roadsmart radial in the rear. This is a true 160, costs a lot less than others and has a deeper tread depth. Will see how many miles it lasts. Much better ride and feel with 18" wheels and the radial on the back.

Next mod - apes!!!
So... did you polish those fork lowers on the bike or off the bike?
On the bike. Removed tire and fender. Covered uppers and front of bike with plastic and went crazy with paint remover, wet/dry sandpaper... then Mothers Aluminum polish.
Looks great man. I am in the process of switching out the Heritage's wheels, going with a 18 front and 16 on the rear, powder coated black with 60 twisted spokes.
