Question exhaust question

Was wondering if I could switch my exhaust from the straight shots down to something like short shots or double barrels with out having to get it re chipped? should mention it is an efi. Asked a J&P sales person, but he wasn't positive, said he thought i could but didn't know for sure.

What is on the bike now as far as air filter and tuner? You have the factory download?

bump, this is what i have running not sure if it is mod or stock. doesnt say anything on it so i am assuming that it is stock. and those are the pipes that i would eventually like to switch out to the stag shorts but if it is going to cost me an arm and a leg to get it redone i'm just going to say f*** it and live with em.

That is an S/E air filter setup. The blue on the filter gives it away. I would assume you already have a stage 1 download if you don't have a power commander, sert or the like. If you can contact the seller see if they know what was done to it. Also do yourself a favor and get a K&N filter to replace the crappy s/e filter as the s/e filter have been known to deteriorate and get sucked into the engine. http://www.drvtwin.com/eshopprod_cat...PGRADE_KIT.htm

Are you sure you want short shots? I had some on a softail and it sounded pretty puny. If you do a search here you will find alot of people end up putting big city thunder baffles in them and some still aren't happy with the sound of them. I love the look and if that's what you're after I get that but for sound I'd go with something else. JMO.

just checked out a couple of videos, granted sound quality isnt the same as being in person but sadly they sound better on tape then the ones that i have on my bike do in person. bit of an exaggeration but they dont sound too bad shorts that is.
