First off, hello y'all, I've not been on here in forever! I left mens prayer breakfast friday morning heading home, rolling about 70 when the rear wheel bearing exploded. I felt the drag and the rearend wobbled before coming all the way to the bars sending me into the dreaded death wobble. All I know is the good Lord give me enough strength to hang on to it, and limp it home. It detroyed the inner hub on the 240, the axle spacers, rotor caliper etc. The dealer said they had my back and parts should be in by Wed. Be careful out there.

When my bike was in for it's 10k, dealer told me the wheel bearings were bad. Didn't want to pay to get them fixed but he said if they went out while I was riding, it could be dangerous. Thought he was feeding me a line of bs but looks like he was on the up and up. Glad your story had a happy ending.

i went thru 3 sets of front wheel bearing in 47000 miles and they (harley) found my front wheel was cut wrong. the last set were so loud the other riders heard them over my pipes.
I have a new wheel now and even with 1000 miles it rolls better than it ever did. bearing space needs to be checked.
