FLSTSC (Springer) Question
K, picked up an 06 model and got to looking at the service manual. The front axle has a cover on it and the manual refers to a specific HD tool to remove it.
Anyone have the tool and can post a pic? Is it as special as they lead you to believe (something that can easily be fabed)? Anyone have a source that sells tools to us garage mechanics. Know that V-twin and Jims sells the ones used on a more frequent basis.
Not new to bikes by any means. Riding HDs since I was 16 and the same 65 pan since '70, along with 3 chopped pans (bought and sold). So my tools revolve around that era of bikes.
The front tire does not need replacing but I am looking down the road is all. Cannot imagine taking the bike to a dealer to have them replace the rubber on the front wheel when it is necessary because I do not have the 'secret decoder ring' to get the job done myself
