Default Fatboy Bagger

Ok, I have gotten rid of my little Fatboy bags and bought some Road King hard leather bags, now for the fun part.

Is the cycle vision Bagger Tail kit the only one available to mount the bags or are there others?
Who has the best deal on the kit?
What is the best and cleanest way to relocate the turn signals?
I've seen the ones that go on the tips of the struts and seen the license plate holders that have them built in, but I'm looking for as many suggestions as possible.

Thanks in advance!!!

I replaced my turn signals with those from a Road King (sorry no pics yet). I have RKC bags with the cyclevisions brackets.

Sumax also makes hardware for mounting touring bags on softails. Price is about the same as Bagger Tails. http://www.sumax.com/home.htm

Ebay probably has the best prices for a set. I saw a set of used one's up for bid for under $200 recently. Didn't seem to be much interest in them, only 1 bid and he won them.

Yesterday I was talking to an Indy who was displaying a '99 Fatboy with a Sumax conversion on it (hard touring bags and fiberglass stretch fender) about mounting HD's Bullet Rear Turn Signal Bar Kit (HD Part Number 68615-04) under the taillight. My thought is to file/cut off the tabs, drill holes in the rear fender, and mount it. He claims that, without the tabs, it wouldn't be secure as there's no backing metal for support on the inside of the Fatboy rear fender for it. But if one could be mounted, it would probably be the "cleanest" look (IMHO). After that, probably the one that Easy Brackets sells that move them to their lay back license plate.
I'm interested with what you come up with, as I'm planning on doing the same. However I'm torn between spending the money for Bagger Tails and Road King Classic bags, or just going with Springer type bags with Easy Brackets.
Good luck with whatever you come up with.

Ok I ordered the cycle vision bagger tail off ebay. 257.99 shipped seemed like as good of a deal as I was going to find.
All that leaves is the rear signals.
Will any of the turn signal bars of the touring bikes and heritage work?
All I need to do is drill some holes for the mounting screws?
What about the harley bullet turn signal bar? Is that the same idea?
Thanks again.

I like my cycle vision mounts. I have the turn signals integrated into the rear light. Went with Heavycycles LED http://www.heavycycles.com/index.php?cPath=1_3

The Street Glide/Road Glide turn signal bar is a really clean look. It will mount right up with just drilling a couple holes. I am in the process of my conversion now. The bar doesnt sit perfect on the fender, but you can make a little rubber gasket and it will sit on there just fine.

I didn't feel comfortable drilling the fender, so I had my mechanic do it. I know my limitations I guess. The fatboy doesn't have the dimples in the fender like the touring fenders so the work has to be exactly perfect to look right. He has done this on several bikes and mine came out looking like it has always been there. Paid $37 for the light bar and signals.....shipped.....from a forum member here. Had to pay for an hour of labor to install but was well worth it.

Just thought I would update with a few pics of the new Fatboy Bagger. I'm really happy with how it ended up looking and with all the new found storage, I've quit drooling over every street glide I see.
I ended up going with the auto gem derringer turn signals and they look and function great! I haven't got any pics yet but will post them soon.
