Just got back from Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in Fayetteville and had at least 50 people ask me about the bags and how I mounted them on a softail. I told all of them about the cycle vision bagger tail kit and also told all of them they needed to get on hdforums.com and talk to dr. v-twin about getting the best price.
All in all, I got nothing but positive feedback about the bike and wanted to say thanks to everyone on here for all the great ideas and advice!

You can clean up the rear end with this turn signal relocation kit.

That is definitely a good looking setup, but my bags are out even with the rear fender and I don't have the clearance for it.
Looking at the cycle vision eliminator for the rear, but coin is short at the moment.

Just bought RK Leather bags for my 92 Softail, I just ordered the Bagger Tail kit, but have no idea how to relocate turn signals. My fender has the dimples and holes for the bar, and would hate to have to leave the holes exposed by mounting the lights elsewhere..Would one of the shorter bars work to clear the bags??

Anyways, I'm proud as hell of how she looks now and I'm as close to finished with the bike as I probably ever will get. Never can be actually finished with a Harley, but definitely happy for now.

nice, looking good

I have to say that your fatboy looks really good with those bags, I'm impressed!

Suggestion: either go chrome on the fork lowers or black. If you go black, make your apes black.

But it really looks good, nice job!!!!
