I have been lusting after a HD since I was a teenager in the 60's. Still not ready financially to pull the trigger.. next year!
My questions
What year did the springer go EFI? I am too old and creaky to spend a lot of time wrenching...
I like the look of the crossbones, but Mama gotta have a seat, so I am looking for recommendations. (I do long range planning for a living, my OCD requires that I do as much research as possible) Any opinions or help out there?
Any bike you buy, will have a "highway seat" for the old lady you can buy. My seat is in the box, she's not found of riding so I quit asking! Rather hear the wind than the bitching anyway.
My 97 Springer doesn't take any more wrenching then any other bike. Love the Springer!
As far as I concerned...the only bikes that exist are Springers...
If you're looking for a springer that you can ride with your SO...I'd go with the Heritage Springer. The Crossbones is beautiful (i'm biased)...but as soon as you put a two-up seat on it...the old school bobber look is gone. That's my
Good choice with the springer, and hope You get one soon. I have the Heartland 200 kit, with the passenger option, works great and takes just seconds to go from solo seat to 2up riding with a backrest for the passenger. There are a lot of options out there.
