Have been working all week on my 'Ol Springer. Got it out of 'moth *****'! It hasn't run or been ridden since '98!!
Got the urge to hear a 'dual fire' roar again.
An oil change, a new battery, a carb rebuild and some fresh gas and it fired right up!
Went for a short ride just to make sure everything was working as it should. Was great to hear that pop...pop...pop again!!
I had forgotten how nimble it is...compared to our 'bagger'!!
We need pictures! I assume that's it in your avatar?
That's it! Ol' #163, first year for the 'new' Springer!! Bought it new in late '87.
Sorry, no more pix...don't have a digital camera or a cell phone w/a camera.
I'll be going to Maryland next month, maybe I can get my Granddaughter to take some pix and show me how to post them.
Thanks for the pix and the kind words. Still can't figure out how to do it though! LOL!!
She's been a good ol' cruiser. Pretty much stock inside.
Wanted to keep the Anniversary Paint scheme for posterity.
Bought a set of decals with it...JIC I ever wanted to change the paint.
