It is definitely a good looking bike. If you are looking to customize it a lot of the HD and aftermarket accessories for the softtail line do not work with the Deuce. Just go to the HD website and check out the softail accessories. "fits ___ and up softails (except FXSTD)". Something to consider, but if you really like it go for it. The guys on this site with the Duece seem to find enough parts to dial them.
I have an 03' Deuce(which happens to be for sale) and have loved it since I bought it. The only reason I am selling is I just bought an 05' Road King so my wife and I can go on long trips with the saddle bags etc.
The deuce has been a great bike to just cruise around town and take nice day trips. Its a great looking bike as well. It's a nice riding bike and my wife hasn't complained a bit.(In case you may have a passenger)
If you would like any additional info about my bike feel free to ask. It is listed on ebay...I believe the last bid was/is 12,600.
mike....I was looking for a deuce to replace my 05' night train....could you send me a link to your deuce on ebay? what colors is it? carb or EFI? what's your reserve set for?

Hi,

The Deuce is a great bike. Rides great and looks great. What I like is that it came with a decent amount of chrome and alllowed me to go about giving it the look I wanted without having to chrome the motor, the primary, etc. I also like the chrome against the black motor.
a deuce is a great bike to customize. as stated before though, some things dont fit it. it already has a lot of chrome and a chrome frontend though so thats part of it already done......there is talk of them discontinuing them, so maybe they will hold their value even better?????
Going from a sporster to a softail will have you wondering why you have not done it sooner. You wont believe the difference you wont be shifting constantly and the ride is much better. Good luck with what ever you decide. I have a deluxe and its the bike for me
went to look at a deuce, fell in love with a fatboy, took it for a spin nice smooth ride, Now I need to sleep on it for tonight compose myself so I can try to deal. Anyone have suggestion what to look for.
It is all up to you.. What year? Miles, history, owners -
But if you like it that is all that counts. GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY
Craigslist is a great place to see availible bikes close to you.
CHEERS
1991 FLSTC with a fatboy front fender... wish I had a 6 speed transmission..
I bought my FX Softail for "in town" riding and short day rides. I'm not one who likes to travel or tour on a motorcycle.
The FX models are not good travelers... They are more of a street performer/bar hopper.
I wanted a hot performance look and light handling.
I love the bike, and it's perfect for me...
Having said that, you have to decide how/where you're going to ride..
If I were one to travel a little, I would look to a Road King and have the best of both worlds.
