Has anyone else seen anything like this done to a softail standard or custom front end? My buddy is looking at this bike and we had a normal standard and this bike side by side and he really likes the way it sits. Just wondering what you're thoughts are on how this baby would handle and any kind of ups or downs of this kind of front end mod.
It'll handle better than a standard just by the fatter front tire alone. My friend bought a new deluxe last night and let me ride it...gorgeous ride and only 1 word describes it...SMOOTH!
I put a fatboy front on my standard. Handles better. I used the 21 front rim and tire with a deluxe fender. It turns tighter at slow speeds. The same smooth ride at high speeds.
check the nitetrain pictures section. Phrog put a deluxe front end on his nitetrain.
i put a 18x4.25 inch front tire on my nitetrain and love it. Im not a fan of skinny tires especially with the rain grooves and bad pavement down here in so cal
Fxstc here w/a 16 " Chrome Thunderstar wheel and 16 " inch tire, and Fatboy front fender. Looks much better than does HD's attempt at a factory chopper with the skinny 21" wheel and tire.
