whats up guys,i just got done painting my bike and noticed i have rust in my gas tank from wet sanding,is there a trick to get it out or do i just try to get it out with sandpaper?

Look for a product called Oxisolve, its been a few years since I bought any but you should be able to find it. It is a liquid that desolves rust not like other products that leave a black coating. Works great on surface rust like what you have. here is what I found with a quick search.
