That open primary [in the picture] is nice but I really like the old school look of the belt without the guard in the front. Why do they have to be so damn expensive though? I'm not even sure there's any other advantage to them other than the way they look. I wrote Exile and asked if they give military discounts but I doubt it. And I need to find someone to draw something bad-*** on the belt too.

Here's a pic of the beast from their website. Damn thing runs for $2,000 plus $700 for the centrifugal clutch. It was a toss-up between this and a leaf spring front end but that seemed WAY too involved labor wise. Not sure this is going to be that labor intensive but we'll see.

You can get a BDL set up that is pretty bare bones and about a grand less than that Primo. Although Primos are great. Just typical 3 inch BDL is all you need. However keep in mind that BDL's with the individual springs instead of the diaphram spring will be a much harder clutch pull. The one in the picture is a top fuel BDL set up that natually costs more money. Also you can look at the Ultima's that are around 700 bucks.
