Default 2007 Fatboy Delayed

My dealer had an open house this past weekend, and I went by to check out the new bikes. I asked him if they had any new fatboys so I could check out the changes (I have an 06 screamin eagle fatboy). He told me HD had put a hold on them. He showed me some assembled models in the garage area. The front fender is almost hitting the front fork on the right side. It is obviously off center, so much so that I can't believe how it got through design and production. Especially since this bike is moree like to 06 SEFB which does not have this problem.

He told me Harley is going to use the SE parts to fix the problem. Go check it out. BTW the bike looks nice (I am spoiled by mine), but the colors they had were not my favorites.

Greg

BTW - I apologize if this is old news, I didn't look to far back at old posts .

Interesting!!!!! When I brought my '07 FB home I noticed I have a small cut on the right side of my front tire that I know wasn't done on purpose. I need to get a closer look at that fender and it's position to the tire and then start my case that I need a new tire due to this defect.

Just ran to check my front tire. Everything looks fine. I have about 700 miles on it. I'll ask about it when I go in for my 1000 mile oil change.

the problem may just be that the "stealer" was in a hurry to put it out on the line. I have been to a number of dealerships here in S. Fla and all the Fatty's I saw were looking great{even color and graphics}, and I lookerd them over well as I am in the market to trade mine in for a new model.

Yeah I wonder what's changed on the front end. I thought all the changes were in the rear.

Heh, when you say it must be my stealer, I tend to believe you . I would have thought would have been noticed by now if it was more of a general problem.

Hi guys, brand new to the forum and I ran across this actually looking for more infor on the 07 Fatboy. I had one on order for a month from one stealer and then they told me about the delay pushing it back another month to October. So then I went to another stealer and they were able to trade for one of my color choice in another state so I ended up going with them. Should have it next week sometime so I will be checking the front fender and tire pretty closely now. Thanks for the great info and the explanation for the delay.

On a solid color '07 FB, are there any graphics on the front fender? I want to change my '07 Heritage to a FB front fender, but not unless the Black Cherry Pearl fender has no graphics or maybe just a Pewter Pearl pin stripe.

Thanks,
Jim
