Going to order the black frame on at harley shop in the morning was wondering if anyone has cut down the stock one and what if any draw backs are there on the springer

I have the tall clear shield. it looks good but it buffets my head so much i dont use it. I do wear a helmet so that contributes to the problem. I am going to fit some lowers and see if that helps for a long trip this summer. the nice thing is it pops right on and off!

Here's some I had in my cell phone. Poor framing for the windshield but you get the idea. Black hardware and quick detach are definitely the way to go. I'm 6'2" and went with the short smoked windshield. I prefer to look over the windshield rather than through.

I have the low profile, not a chrome guy at all but for some reason like it better on the windshield. 15,000 miles and it works well.

I'll second that. Nice job with those fenders.
