Default Softail Std chrome

Does anyone have pics of a Standard engine/transmission completely chromed out? I have spent a ton of money just to get rid of the silver coated engine with chrome replacement parts and was wondering if anyone else has done the same. I have a appointment next week to get it all installed. My mechanic is offering a trade on my twins to go the blacked out (night train type) twins when I go big bore. The one concern I have is that HD doesn't make any chrome type covers for under the oil filter (besides the oil filter cover) and forward foot controls. I'm worried that it will not look very uniform with the rest of the engine/transmission chromed out with that tiny part left silver coated.

Anyone have any ideas/pictures?

Look at the 2007 Softail Custom on the HD website. It will give you a pretty good idea.

Thanks. That bike has a black engine - what I'd rather have than the silver coat. It doesn't help with my question. I've told my mechanic that I'll stick with the silver engine and do the chrome.

I chromed out my night train, not the pics you are looking for, but it's really not that hard to install the chrome engine kit yourself if you have some tools and the manual.

i think i know what he's trying to say. he was only going to install the black coated jugs and leave the rest of the motor silver. i also have a 2006 softail standard and would love to have my exact bike with the engine chrome kit and black motor. maybe one day i'll have it painted or do it myself when my bike is a little older. good luck with your chrome kit. hopefully i'll do my engine chrome kit next year. pat
