Default Rain X

Anybody ever use this stuff on their windshield? I've been riding my Heritage no matter what the weather, and was wondering if Rain X would be alright on these wind screens.

We've used it on airplane windshields for years. I don't know if they are poly or lexan.

When all else fails, dig the instructions out of the trash and read them. RainX makes a special formula for plastic now but they recomend not using the original formula on your windshield. I like plastx better.

I've never heard of PlastX, but I'll be sure to get some if I see it. Thanks.

Do not use RainX on your Harley windshield... I used it on my QD and it etched the windshield so badly that I had to replace it. I now use a polish made for plastics on the new windshield and have no problems with etching, the polish actually makes water run off similar to RainX. I can post the name if you wish but will have to go out to the bike shed as that it where I keep it.

I've used it a few times and didn't see any problem but I'm looking for something that works just as well but I have used it on my wind screen and visor without issues.

I just sent the following email to Rain X;

Is RainX safe for Plastic \ motorcycle windscreens and helmet visors?
I’ve used your product for years but have read that it will ruin motorcycle windscreens. My current windscreen is made by Memphis Shades.
Thank you,
