What I do with my air is I'll raise the bike all the way, then adjust how firm I want the ride. Then I slam it all the way down, then air it up just a little. That way I can tuck all my whitewall and still not worry about bumps.

I hit some nasty potholes today doing about 60, and a bad set of train tracks just a little slower and it wasn't near as bad as when I had my bike lowered with standard shocks. I still felt the bumps, but it wasn't the jolt it was before. And the nice thing is if it's too harsh, or I'm scraping my pipes, I just hit one of the switches and soften or firm up the ride, or adjust my height on the fly.

I've got a bad lower back and several compressed disks in my neck and after riding on this system for a little over a week I'll never go back to standard shocks.

How much do you think the progressives actually lowered the bike? Seems that it would only be 1 inch at the lowest setting since the deluxe is already a inch lower from the factory.Where did it put the white wall in relation to the bottom of the fender.Any better pics. Thanks Tom

You can adjust the dampening to the lightest setting and that will get it where you want it. Love how you just bought this suspension, ask a question and everyone has to tell you you should have bought an airide and says nothing to answer the question. Story 808 has the progressive on the lightest setting and it gets you where you want to be. Good luck.

Hey, don't let my poor opinion skew yours. Lots of members here love their 422s. I'm just not one of them. Would love to have an air ride, but just don't have that kind of coin.

Since you already have them, I'd take sliver's advice. Extend the bolt all the way (for the lowest setting) and put the dampening on the lightest setting (the way they come from the factory, with the most threads exposed) and go for it.

Happy scraping!

silver is right you can get there, but like they said the ride is harsh... lol But worth it to me.
It don't matter what you got if it's on the snubber it'll be a rough ride.

Progressive 413's on mine...

btw... I just got my cams done... Heres a Vid from my phone... Whoo hoo...

The wise one has spoken!!!!!!!!!!!! Now jack it up and adjust the dampening and slam it! You can raise it up at anytime for a long trip or something!

Here is a pic of mine with stockers, lowering bolts and the lightest dampening. The progressives get you lower than this.

Progressives is about as far as I'd go personally, I just can't justify for myself spending over a grand to lower my bike as opposed to dealing with a little rougher of a ride. But I'm also in the military and stay broke to support my riding habit. Give and take, I suppose.
