Default Duece or Custom

Getting my choices down between A used Deuce, Standard, or going with a 09 or 10 Custom Softail. Not sure what the exact differences between the bikes are? Sat on an 05 Deuce yesterday, custom Paint, had been lowered fit me perfectly 9k miles, wanted 13.5 for it. Just wondered the Standards seem to go a lot cheaper or just buy a newer Custom and do my own set up? As far looks go they all seem be similiar as build goes or am I wrong? Thanks

Deuce all the way. If the shoe fits, wear it!

The main differences between the three that I know of are the Duece has two inches added to the frame (deuce) causing it to have a longer wheelbase, longer gas tank, and an overall stretched out appearance, also the front forks are slimer and chromed, rear fender is straight across the bottom. the standard and custom are very similar with both haveing the dyna front wheel and fender with a slim tire. the standard has a silver finish on the engine casing. both have a bobbed rear fender but the custom has a wider 200 mm rear tire. the standards are probrably alittle cheaper because stock it has less chrome. the deuce and standard will have the 88 ci engine and 5 speed trans, the custom will have the 96 ci engine and the 6 speed tranny. All three are great looking bikes with each having their own advantages ect. There are prob more differences that I dont know about. oh yeah oil tank on the standard is painted and chromed on the custom. seats different also. good luck
