Just got the V&H Pro Pipe Chrome on my Fat Boy a couple weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to post pics but will try this weekend. I did get a very small bubble on the chrome right on the neck where it goes from 2 into 1. It's on the heat shield. Getting swapped out no problem once it comes in.
The sound is dead sexy. Wife loves it too. Very low rumble and opens up nicely. A far cry from the crackle of the previous short shots. Don't have any more back-pressure popping issues either. I literally can't get it to back-pressure pop. Every time I start it up I grin from ear to ear.
I would like to see your pics ia2189 I am probably going to get this pipe, but think I'll wait till after Sturgis now. Who knows maybe I can find a great deal out there, by the way I'm from Ia. also.
Attached are some pics. It rained today so had to take them in the garage so they aren't very bright. Bike's dirty too as I'm in the middle of doing my 10k service. Should have some better ones this weekend, but hopefully these work well enough. I tried to show the chrome bubble by outlining it in red but it's hard to see in the picture.
Here's mine installed on a Heritage Springer.
One thing I noticed is that it's a lot quieter compared to my previous set up - stock headers and fishtails slip ons. Also it doesnt have that potato potato sound, more like a deep rumble tone at idle. A lot quieter at cruising speeds (just my observation) But definitely gained some
HP. Chrome quality is superb.
