I dont think the carb is your prob, look for leaks, carbon build up, float level, screen, pipe and ac selection.... whats your current setup?
Has it been running bad since you bought it? (recently correct?)

How many miles on it?
Did you swap your pipes?
Have you checked your intake manifold for leaks / cracks?
