Default Night Train

I'd like to have some opinions from you guys who tried or rode the Night Train: is it a good choice of bike? Handling? riding position?

I have an option on a 2007 NT, so your opinions are welcome.

Thank you for your posts.

Man I could tell you how great my Night Train is but you really have to make that desision your self. Everybody has their own opinion and 2 people can get on the same bike and have 2 totally differant feelings about it.
Depends on what your used to, How far are you going to ride it each time, Are you going to use it as a cruiser or just out for a joy ride now and then, 2 up or solo. See there are a lot of veriables.
Best thing I can tell you is find one you can ride under your riding conditions. Then you can tell us what you think of it.
I wouldn't give mine up for anything. But thats me and it fits me to a t.

I love mine, love the feel of the riding position, look, feelings in the turns.
The one thing I didn't love was the seat, sure it looked great, but man was my butt sore after 50 miles or so. The mirrors take a little getting use to, you kind of have to look over your shoulder in them....you'll get what I mean.
All in all, it was a great starting point for me, as it would be for anyone that wants to do some customizing.

thank you for your responses.
I'll be using it like I am using right know my sportster: mainly going around town (showing off....), small trips occasionally (20-30 miles, maybe once in a while a trip of 100 miles max.

So it is mainly driving in traffic in town.

Thanks again!

Hi lucospock

I think the NT is the best HD and was my dream for years. I made a lot of mods specially the seat and the handlebar. As the guys said above you better make a test-drive with some different models and decide it for yourself.

Have a lucky choice and nice ride

All of the FX Softails are basically the same bike. In fact, all of the Softail bikes are pretty much the same thing.
So, buy what looks the most visually attractive, and then adjust bars, seat etc. to get the ride you want.

If you have a Sporster now wait till you get on the Night Train. You won't get off.

One of the guys I work with has a 2005 Train...it was one of the inspirations for me getting my '06 Standard...I dig the drag-bar and solo seat look he's got going on it and with the V&H Radius pipes it looks and sounds MEAN but the Night Train styling is just too blacked out for me...I needed a little more chrome and color out of the box.
