first insert a pair of needle nose plyers into the little holes in the center of the connector and pull... that plate you see in the picture will come forward, DONT pull all the way out, you will be able to see the tips of the pins... then with a paper clip insert "carefully" and NOT all the way into the little hole on top of the pin and pull the pin out from the back "slowly"
hope it helps, make sure you write down cable color and pin number for each one before you remove them, the pin number is on the back in really really small print.
Look inside the plug. Under every pin is a very small tab. Reach in with something small like a screwdriver for eyeglasses and lightly press the tab down and pull the wire out from the back. DON'T FORCE anything. When your done the pin just slides back in the way it came.
Like posted above, you need to remove the wires from the plug. Now that you have the bottom unsnapped, flip it back to the top (the side you plug in) and use a small pick to pry up the tiny tab on the backside pressing against each wire end. You will pull the wires out of the plug one at a time. Very simple once you figure out how to hold your head.

This is the correct procedure. When you push the paper clip into the round holes at the top and apply a little pressure you're feel the wire release give. Just slide the wire out the back. Some of them will be easy and some may be a pain. Just gotta get the paper clip in right.
