Default ideas for jacking

Hey Gang, just looking to see what ideas are out there for jacking my scoot. fatboy lowered 2" in the ***. what i currently do is roll the bike up on a 2x4 and kinda finesse the using the sears red jack under the bike. however with this, the jack sits on the shocks. so i went to HD and bought frame protecters but this takes another inch of ground clearence away. is there something handy to use to get the bike off the ground enough to use the frame protectors with the sears jack? any ideas are great. Thanks

My bike is like yours but the 05 Annv in Black, with SE 204 and BSS its also lowered 2" the front and rear using Progressive 422 and fork kit.

I also use the orange frame protectors. I have 2 blocks made of 2 pieces of 2x6 about 10 inches long with a 45 on one end and one for the kick stand. I roll the bike up on them and then set the jack. Works Ok for me

I was going to suggest something similar to what XARAN uses.
Only thing different is I would use 2x12s just so it gives you alittle more alignment room.

I have a 2002 Deuce lowered 2" or more. I can't get my lift under it.
What I use to get it up when I just need the rear wheel off the ground is a lever type lift. Has long handle about 3 1/2 ' connected to square tubing that goes under the bike frame with adjustable leg on each end. Lifts the bike right up. I line it up just behind the rear of the shocks. If I need both wheels off the ground than I get my lift out and with the rear wheel off the ground with the lever lift I just slide my lift under the bike using the frame protecters and easily lift the bike as high as I want..90% of the time I use the lever lift only. If I need the front wheel off the ground, I move the lever lift forward, put the bike in first gear and a block behind rear wheel and lift the front wheel only off the ground..I did this when I performed my fall away check and adjustment.
In picture is shown with inner tube pieces wrapped around it. It will lift a fatty. If you can weld easily made. I bought this in the 90's from J&P cycles for $39. can't find it anywhere now.
Another idea (http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/bikelift.htm) but I don't like the way the board stands straight up. My metal one is at an angle when the bike is sitting on it.

Works for me

It won't hurt your shocks by resting them on the jack/lift. I have been doing it for 3 years and have had no issues.

"Hey Gang, just looking to see what ideas are out there for jacking my scoot"

You gots to run up to it wit a glock (held sideways) and a bandana over your face (panty hose works too) and say, "yo fudda ******, give it up or lose yo life!" lol j/k

Mine sits on the shocks too. It don't hurt it, jack away.

I was gonna say I let it rest on the shocks too.

Thought maybe I shouldn't but I don't see how it could be an issue.

My hardtail frame sits lower than most stock bikes but Harbor Freight sells a small roller ramp (for cleaning your rims) that provides that bit of extra space I need to get a jack under the frame rails. And it's easy to roll up on. It's well made and cheap at 30 bucks. And it also works great when actually cleaning the rims, servicing the chain, or any other reason you may have to spin a tire . . .
