I have an opportunity to pick up a 1990 Heritage for 4500. 37000 miles from a friend. He has taken good care of the bike, however it will need new seat and bags and tank panel... as the leather is worn. I was wondering if anyone had any input on this particular year as to possible problems which could arise as I plan on making this my road bike and keeping my Dyna for shorter hops.
probably gaskets.... evos tend to leak from primary gaskets, since it's from a friend u should ask what he's done to the bike in the area of maintenance
started life as a heritage but i turned it into a fatboy.
loved that bike.
like they already said, check for leaks. maybe replace the gaskets just for peace of mind. sounds like your bud took care of it though, so you should be good to go.
btw i got 7500 for mine when i sold it, so pick it up for 4500 and don't look back.
