Default Another Pipe Question

I just put the Vance and Hines true duals with fishtail tips on my bike and the the fishtails only mount in a way that make them look crooked to me. I don't know how to post a picture or I would. Does anybody else know what I'm talking about? There are like four or five different screw holes in the fishtail tips and the only way to get the screw to fit has the fishtail turned quite a bit from straight up and down. I had fishtails on my older bikes back in the 80's & 90's and I know they mounted more straight up and down--is this just the new way or what? Thanks for any feedback.

Loosen the clamps securing the rear heat shield, rotate the heat shield until the tails are right. Tighten the heat shield clamps.

Don't worry about looking like an idiot. We've all done it at least once. The key is just having as small an audience as possible. Just don't announce it before the act is the key I think.

How does your bike run with the full exhaust? Did you do a fuel pak or another fuel management system? How is the heat from the rear cylinder, has it lessen from stock? Sorry about all the questions....

Hell, it happens. I once took 10 mins trying to figure out why my bike wouldn't start! Helps if you flip the switch to "Run" !!

Just some advice from personal experience... drink the beer AFTER you work on the bike.

I've felt stupid too, like the time my wrench was checking the wiring to my brake light. I'd watch him UNPLUG the wire connecor from under the seat. When he was checking the power TO the plug I told him .... "The brake light ain't coming on."

He gave me that .... "What'd you say, STUPID?" .... look.....

Yeah, we all have our moments!
