I installed the Big City Thunder Monster Baffle in my D&D pipe Part # from Big City
QBL# 1625

Sorry to have gotten back to you all, I been werking and I messed up some of my ribs - (ouch )

I was not able to find a way to get the D&D baffle out of the D&D pipe after removing the muffler section. So..... I took the muffler section with D&D baffle in it ( yes I did remove the set screw to try and grab the D&D baffle and pull it out with pliers...no luck) so went to a local muffler shop and had them add a 3" piece of round exhaust pipe on to the same diameter pipe as the QBL, which put the QBL 6" in from teh D&D baffle end.

It worked! No problems, sounds lower in tone and gained some torque ( have not dyno run it) just feels it in the seat of the pants.

Give it a try, I like the way my D&D sounds now.

BDT said that idle will be 15-30% quieter but it will be much deeper. I guess i will have to investigate this avenue on my own. More power and a deeper sound. I can't go wrong.

Dr, I think you may have slightly been misinformed. I purchased baffels from them a few years back for 3in pipes and had the same issue with the pipes being bigger than their baffles. I had to purchase the straight through baffles from the pipe manufacure which just a smaller pipe to mount the monster baffle to in order to install it. You're not really running 2 baffles. You are removing the stock baffle.

Actually, I was told to run their baffle inside of the D&D baffle as they do not make a baffle for a 4" pipe. Sounded strange to me too, but i am willing to try it. One of these days I just might order one.

Appreciate an update on this one as I have the 2-1 Pro wrapped perforated baffle and I had the same recommendation to use a Monster Baffle QBL2125 (baffle within a baffle) to obtain a deeper sound and increase backpressure although professional tuners in the UK tell me if the bike is tuned right, the 2-1 is the right exhaust and shouldn't need increased backpressure and possibly so, but I want the deeper throaty sound.
