Default PC-V start up issue

I have a PC-V on my bike. The map seems to be good as I get no decel pop or anything like that, but my bike very rarely starts on the first try. I have tried waiting til the light goes out, not waiting, nothing seems to matter. Any ideas what may be causeing this?

I struggled with this also when I installed my PC-V. I found it best when I hit the run switch to instantly push the start switch. My bike starts right up on the first attempt every time.

Jamie never said why, but he told me the same thing. I verified this with powercommander as well. The tech guy at dynojet told me there is a feature in the PC-V that allows for this.....

Had the same problem I used to wait for the pump to shut off but it would never start if I did that. So now I hit the button as soon as I turn the switch on and it fires right up!!!

This wasn't a debate on wether to wait for the light or not. In my original post, I said I have done it both ways, and I still get a hard start....

Usually if you bike takes a while to "catch" it's usually running rich. (granted all of the fuel system components are working correctly). I had the same problem....what i ended up doing is leaning out my "startup fuel". It's located in one of the drop down tabs in the PCV software. I had my bike tuned in march (still cold) so it was kind of rich at start up. I leaned my out by about 8% and now I don't have that problem anymore. You should try it
