Allright thought I would post a quick update. Maybe I'm the only one but when I am aware of other members working on projects I can't wait for updates.
I got the motor back and started installing it along with everything else. as allways there have been some set backs. I am fairly sure I ended up putting the locking plate and nut that holds the clutch assembly on with the parts I dropped off at the dealer. and I KNOW I put the the nut and locking plate that hols the clutch assembly counter gear back on the engine after taking the primary chain off. but I don't have those parts, so instead of taking the bike down to the dealer first thing in the morning so they can do the initial start up for the warrenty purpose I have to go down there without the bike and see if they have those parts or not. if not then CRAP, it's going to be a while before I get it going because I just used a credit card for groceries.lol. any ways here are some pics for you guys.
most of the other mods I have planned can wait for a little bit but that seat needs to be replaced. it looks horrible since it's warn down and weathered.
Just need to get my parts back (Hopefully)
OK, so as you can see I get carried away with pictures.
since I will be getting a new seat as soon as possible anyone know of a low profile seat that is comfy, Comfert is top of the list when it comes to the seat. I am on it a lot.
Thanks, I will deffinitly keep you guys updated with pics. Still hoping to get her on the road today, I'm headed out the door right now to see what kind of BS the dealer is going to give me.
The dealer had all my parts in a box, so that worked out. everything is in place and I will be taking it down to the dealer first thing in the morning for them to do the initial start up. that's one part I like to do my self but I'm not going to turn down a 1 year warranty! Hopefully I get to ride it home, and then to work and then so on and so on. I'll be sure to let you everyone know how it turns out.
I had the motor rebuilt by the local dealer, and while I was waiting I painted the bike, I originally took the motor out and tore it down to see what was wrong with it, the bike was vibrating a good amount, it turned out to be the counterbalanced. so after some convincing by some members here( thanks by the way) I took it in and had the balancers proffesionally done along with the rest of the motor. once I get it back on the road and am riding it daily I will post some before and after pics.
