Default 2007 HD Night Train

after a few disappointing attempts over a 2011 Street Bob & 2010/2011 Wide Glide , i have to consider used as well

next bike will be my first HD , tho i would love to have a new bike as the plan is , i can't get over my first "HD love" = Night Train ,despite i'm trying to push for new , I'm not completely closed for a used in great condition.

I saw this 2007 Night Train , pretty much stock i think ( pipe and stage 1 = whatever that means ) so here it is , the model that i always loved, the color that i love , tho the price is rubbish I'd like to think being a used bike , it could be more room to work on the price compared to the new ones.

dilemma , i'm taking this bike tomorrow for a test-ride , what should i look for?

is 10,000 miles too many for a 07 Night Train? (asking because NT isn't a long distance bike so at 10,000 I'd would think it has quite a few "urban" miles which could be bad?)

any known problem(s) with the 07 model's?

any major service is do at or around 10,000 miles?

whatever else you guys would think i should look for tomorrow as far mechanical goes

any input is great help

cheers

Daniel

My 09 train has 18K on it. 10k is nothing to to worry about as long as its been maintained.

If it's coming from a dealer, the 10K service Hould have already been performed. If it hasn't, make it part of the deal.

FYI I've seen 07 trains with fewer miles listed locally on CL in the $10-11K range.

Good luck. Black denim trains rule.

I agree the mileage is not something to be too concerned about if it was taken care of. But if they want $13.5 for it as listed in the ad I'd look elsewhere.

Lookin at the pics it looks like the pipes are turning yellow about mid pipe. I would make sure its tuned right with that many miles and not bein tuned right could be a problem!!

Also get that price down you could probably find a newer one on craigslist or something for that price

So you are saying that you really wanted a Street Bob but couldnt get a good price on one? I am actually contemplating selling a very well built and maintained Street Bob. My sig has the details listed. Feel free to make an offer. I am sure some of the guys here will chime in on what they think its worth.17k miles and with a paypal deposit to cover gas and a 1 way plane ticket home I will ride it to Arizona and drop it off to you. I have all reciepts and the wheels are NEW custom Blackbike wheels with NEW Metz 880s front and rear. I broke my foot 1 week after the install so I have only ridden it 100 miles since the new wheels were installed. My sig doesnt list all mods as it was too in depth. I would have to review my reciepts to verify all mods. I can also accept credit card payments through Paypal so you can finance.

I don't know who told you a night train isn't a "long distance" bike, I've been putting tons of miles on softails for years! I've already got 5000 miles on my new softail in 3 months.

Don't worry about the mileage, just make sure you get the 10,000 mile service included in the deal. And make sure it's not added to your contract!! Make sure its on their dime!

and don't offer any more than $10,000. for this bike.
