Good news -- my base exchange has Royal Purple in several viscosity. No other brands are available unless I purchase Syn3 from Harley Japan @ $30 a quart.

So what is the best viscosity for the Train? I bought 5 quarts of Royal Purple 20W-50.

Stick with the 20-50. No need to do anything else.

BTW, the Supertrapp looks sweet on your bike

Don't forget to check the base gas station too. They usually carry it too.
