Just curious if anyone upgraded the 88 with 95 kit. If so about how much is the cost with parts and labor and was it worth it.

Thanks,

Dave O.

I just did this about two months ago. The big bore kit was about $700. If you are doing this you might as well do cams as well. I already had cams. i did the labor myself so that was the cost for me plus the oil to fill it back up. UI kept stock heads. there are so many otions it will make your head spin.

I paid ~2200.00 for parts and labor. This included cams, pistons and SE heads. I thought it was money well spent.

About $1,200 for parts with jugs, cylinders, andrews cams, pcIII, some gaskets. $300 for the install by an indy. Nice boost in power.

Looks like the price difference between the two folks above was also doing the heads then. I agree, do it all at once.

Hey Dortiz... check out T-Man Performance. He has some really good kits. You get to choose your cams, and he offers heads with his kits. He has dyno sheets available as well. FYI! Let us know what you decide to go with!

You can get a good 95" kit for around $500.00. Thats for the jugs, pistons, and gaskets only. As far as power gains for a big bore only without head work or cams, maybe 1 hourse power per cubic inch with a really good tune.
