Traded my 2009 Buell 1125R off on a 2005 Springer Classic. Saw the bike on Tuesday, traded on Wednesday.
Something about the bike just made me get it.
I have to do something about the pipes on it. Have browsed pictures with fishtails/true duals. Kind of what I want to do....but have found some with dual fishtails both on the right side...looks sweet. Man, decisions, decisions...
First Softail for me...

Congrat's. A very nice bike. Springer Classic has always been a favorite of mine as well. I know exactly what your talking about "something made you get it".... good luck.
You are gonna love it. I have an 05 and won't give mine up for love, money, or marbles. Mine came with the same tank as yours but I put it in a box and bought a used black one on ebay that I'm using now. Black ones are faster.
I had the fishtails for a long time and liked them (they are in a box also). I'm running a Thunderheader now.
Gotta agree with you guys on the samson longtails. I love mine., went with 33s and couldnt be happier. I got mine with baffles, if I just want to cruise their not too loud, then if I want to crank on the throttle, the pipes really open up. Gotta love Samsons. Great decisions to get the harley springer. Alot of promise with your bike bro, you can make that puppy look sick. Congrats.
