You have to relocate your coil as it is attached to the seat post. Unscrew it or use a sawzall to cut it and then remove the screws. There are plenty of threads on coil relocation.

I've done 5 or 6 softails and it's a nice clean mod. The removal part is 10 minutes but the coil relocation could take a couple hours depending on how you choose to remount it.

im doing this same mod on my xbones right now..first of all just incase DONT use a sawsall on the seat post lol ..it comes out easy if you just be patient and use lots of light ..if you choose to put in where the horn is and dont want the plug wire crossed then the coil plug needs to have the front and rear coil wires switched ..again its easy if your patient and have the manual it shows all the plugs and how to take the pins out of them..i just did mine..also if you want to use the cowbell its tight but will fit as above pic shows

Any pics of alternative locations for coil? I have air horns mounted on horn bracket so that location is out...
