So Im thinkin of adding a jockey shift to my 06 deluxe this winter.
Im debatin whether to stay with my drag bars or switch to a mini ape- similar to what honkylips has on his bike.
I think it depends on what you are comfortable with. With the drag bars it is a shorter reach to the jockey shifter. But...whatever you want is the best idea. I got my tank shifter as I could not imagine reaching behind my leg from my 16" apes every time I had to shift.
The Apes look bad-*** at any case, the drags look strange a bit with the Shift, but as you stated drags gives a shorter distance to the ****.
But then again, if it was about practicality we would not be talking this mod all together .
I am DYING to do that, but I keep thinking of the many times I used my old racing 'down shifting' to help the brakes stop the bikes, and the many times this saved my *** driving in the city .
I think your bike looks really good as it sits. For some reason, I just REALLY like the look of good drag bars. On your bike, the way you have it set-up, the drags look spectacular. I wouldn't change it.

i have to give them a call tomorrow. PLEASE pm me in the am to remind and with what it is you want. I am inundated with requests all day long and tend to forget the simpering of things.
